Bloomfield High School

Location: Bloomfield, NM

Completed: 2010

with Greer Stafford SJCF Architects

The Bloomfield High School site improvements were part of a major school building renovation, and were focused on creating a pleasant student commons area and an attractive and welcoming entry area. Cobble swales were integrated into the landscape to passively harvest water and manage storm water runoff. Plants were selected for their ability to provide all-season color as well as low water-use and low maintenance characteristics.  The community response to the improvements has been oveld.”erwhelmingly positive, with one resident calling the new entry landscape “the best landscape in Bloomfield".
