MRWM provided design and construction documents for landscape improvements, non-potable water irrigation systems, walkways, outdoor pool, patios areas, and site amenities for the new Pueblo of Sandia Casino Hotel and Resort – a 426 acre development with casino, amphitheater, hotel, outdoor gathering areas, extensive parking and sensational views from the development site north of Albuquerque. The site required a high visibility landscape, preservation of views, relatively low maintenance and water use, screening of parking areas, roadway landscaping from the Interstate to the resort entry, clear pedestrian connections and a welcoming first impression for resort patrons. MRWM won an NMASLA award in 2001 for this project, and is currently working on design and performing construction observation for a new resort expansion, employee parking lot and parking garage.
