Elegant, compelling landscape solutions for forty-five years.

MRWM creates spaces that capture the imagination and stimulate the senses, include people of all ages, abilities, and interests, and provide opportunities for users to connect with nature. As a landscape architecture practice in the desert Southwest we consider both science and art to be our media and believe landscapes should be pragmatic, beautiful, innovative, and thoughtful. We measure the success of our built environment by its ability to solve the challenges of a site with simple and compelling solutions and strive to make each of our landscapes elegant expressions of the cultures and ecosystems that compose them.

Founded in 1973, MRWM Landscape Architects (Morrow Reardon Wilkinson Miller) is the only landscape architectural firm in New Mexico with eleven licensed landscape architects. Our primary objectives are to consistently deliver creative, innovative designs and quality results. MRWM has developed a clear sense of the history of landscape architecture in New Mexico over the past forty-five years. This history gives us a unique understanding of the environmental and cultural role that the landscape plays in community life and allows us to design places that maintain a distinctive local feel, and enhance the unique environment, while honoring the history and culture of the Southwest.

During forty-five years of professional practice and through the completion of over 4,000 projects, MRWM has furthered the appreciation of landscape architecture as a means of improving the quality of life in urban and rural settings throughout New Mexico and surrounding states. Our project types include—among others— national, state, county, and municipal parks, plazas, schools, playgrounds, streetscapes, museums, libraries, universities, athletic facilities, botanical gardens, master plans, hospitals and other medical facilities, ranches, wetlands, farms, offices, shopping centers, cemeteries, opera grounds, housing, and historic landscapes.

In the Southwest, water is our most precious and finite resource and MRWM Landscape Architects have been pioneers of water-wise landscaping for over two decades. We believe environmental improvement is a basic tenet of landscape architecture and the constraints of urban development can be greatly mitigated through thoughtful landscape design.

We are a full‑service firm, offering planning, complete design and design production, irrigation design, and thorough site observation services during construction.  Our goal is to always provide efficient, precise transfer of information and provide quick responses to our clients and design team so that we can meet even the most aggressive project deadlines.

Meet the people of MRWM.
